“Regenerating Changsin Old Sewing Factory village”
In the 1970s, Changsin village was the most active and famous in sewing factories to export clothes to the big markets. However, advances of new technologies and foreign workers replace the original workspace. Village people who were working in the factories all day lost their jobs and the village has shrunk and degraded. Now, only few sewing factories are remained running by old people.
The design goal is to preserve the long history of the sewing by extending and connecting the main street to the diverse centers with new programs that can attract young people to learn and open space for workers.
